Words cannot begin to express how WONDERFUL our groups private tour was with Julie for 5 days. I don't think it is possible to put into words how much Julie customized our tour to meet the needs of our group. Each day we had people flying in from Texas to join the tour before a conference we were attending. Our tour size ranged from 6 people to 18 people, and she managed to arrange INCREDIBLE tours and meet the transportation needs of our group daily.
On the first day our group was scheduled to go on the City Tour and head to Table Mountain. Julie had the foresight to realize the weather would be bad, so took the initiative to change the order of our tour and take us on the Wonderful Wineland's Tour. We had 3 incredible wine tasting tours during the day. Stopped in the town of Stellenbosch, enjoyed an incredible lunch and toured the picturesque village of Franschhoek. I can attest to the fact that Julie knows were to take the group for wine tasting because one person in our group purchased 310 bottles of wine to send back to the states because of the quality and price..
Day 2 started with a magical tour of Table Mountain, followed by seeing the colourful houses in Die Bo Kapp, followed by the Castle of Good Hope. We were treated to an authentic Cap Malay meal at Groot Constantia before heading to the beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens. MAGICAL!
Day 3: Our Peninsular Tour was a fantastic opportunity for our group to travel the coast road to Hout Bay and follow the GORGEOUS scenic Chapman's Peak Drive. What a great opportunity to see so many animals, visit Cape of Good Hope, visit Cape Point, and enjoy seeing the Penguins at Boulders in Simonstown. Julie's knowledge is exceptional, and the group was engaged every step of the way. Our lunch spot was interesting because we had a baboon alert. A baboon had entered the kitchen at our restaurant. It was so interesting to see baboons and other animals all throughout our tour.
Day 4: Our group was excited to visit the Private Game Reserve in Aquilla. However, words cannot begin to express how incredible the scenic tour is to Aquilla. We saw at least 50 different waterfalls coming down the mountains as we made our way to Aquilla. At Aquilla we enjoyed an amazing lunch before starting our tour. Will you see the Big 5? Yes! We were up close and personal to 3 lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, ostriches, and about 5 other animals. The tour blew me away because we were able to see everything except the leopard.
Day 5: Julie helped us arrange a tour to Robben Island, which is a MUST if visiting Cape Town. Since this was close to our hotel, she made sure we were taken care of as well.
