Wow! The first half of the year has just flown by. April was particularly busy with a great Garden Route Tour which took us to Addo Elephant Park. Addo was particularly spectacular on this trip, with an amazing array of game, insects and birds. The highlights for me were the fascinating Dung Beetles, a Black Backed Jackal, a Secretary Bird, a Denham’s Bustard, and a Hoopoe!
As things are a bit quieter, I would like to share a few bits of good news with you….
Firstly, Cape Town has been ranked as the top holiday destination for the year by British newspaper The Guardian and the US’s The New York Times! This is great news, but maybe not all that surprising when you experience the beauty of the place. Considering these accolades and Cape Town’s election as World Design Capital 2014, perhaps Jacob Zuma’s target of 15 Million tourists visiting South Africa in 2015, is achievable!
Secondly, I am the proud owner of a newer, more powerful Automatic Hyundai H1 bus which is great for a smoother ride and is an absolute pleasure to drive!
Last but not least, Cape Splendour has been awarded with the Trip Advisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence.
This accolade, which makes me decidedly happy and proud was only awarded due to the glowing reviews written by you!
