Travel Arrangements for The Millar’s

The Millar’s

Millar Family

I was asked to put together itineraries for two contingents of the Millar family who were coming over for a wedding.

Jeff and Family

The itinerary for Jeff involved airport transfers, transfers to Paarl where the wedding was taking place, a City Tour, a Wine lands Tour involving the chocolate tasting at Spice Route and a fun time spent at Butterfly World which the two kids loved.

They really enjoyed their Aquila Safari and two days spent around the Peninsular, enjoying the World of Birds, The Scratch Patch, the Penguins and Cape of Good Hope and Chapman’s Peak drive.

Jeff, Susannah and the kids had a great time which is reflected in the lovely Trip Advisor review they did for me. http://www.tripadvisor.co.za/Attraction_Review-g1722390-d2365874-Reviews-Cape_Splendour_Day_Tours-Cape_Town_Western_Cape.html

What made life easier for Jeff is that I lent him a Mobile phone, so he could make local calls and we could communicate.

Carol and Family

This group was bigger, and on most days comprised Carol (Jeff’s Mom) and 6other family members.

They had a great time doing a half day City Tour and managed to get on to Table Mountain before the clouds came rolling in.

The day on the Peninsular was just great, the weather for it was lovely and Randall really enjoyed the Geology on that tour.  Their Wine lands I delegated to my colleague, Terry and by all accounts, they had a lovely day and a great lunch at  Die Oewer before being dropped off at their new abode in Paarl.

Carol showed her appreciation for the time and effort spent knocking her itinerary into shape and making sure they had a great time by writing me the following: “I wanted to thank you for our days with you…for being flexible, imparting all that wonderful information and answering all my emails before the event!! We enjoyed our tours immensely and thank you for that.”

It is always great to get good feedback! I really enjoyed facilitating the time all the Millar’s spent in and around Cape Town and am delighted they had such a good time!
